Daniel Moore has always been inspired by fashion. For Daniel, fashion is for all occasions – a way to express and a way to live. And so he established Alter-Ego, to bring world-class couture to Brisbane.
Daniel’s relentless pursuit of quality begins with his unmatched understanding of the human form. He has travelled the world gathering inspiration and techniques, from the henna tattoos of India to Viennese lace making.
After formative years working with renowned designers such as Bora, Paul Hunt, Julia Grbac, and Subfusco, Daniel has mastered his own meticulous and elegant style.
With over 15 years’ experience designing haute couture and bridal fashion, Daniel has had the pleasure of producing designs and couture for a multitude of style icons and personalities such as Natalie Imbruglia and Kimberley Davies as well as for high-profile events such as the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane.
Now, the Alter-Ego brand is synonymous with meticulously crafted garments, using intricate hand stitching and beading as well as expert techniques such as lace moulding. These techniques, though extremely time consuming and difficult to master, contribute to perfect products and glowing customers.
The Alter-Ego creative process includes extensive consultation, hand-drawn sketches, and bespoke fabric and material sourcing from around the world.
The team at the Alter-Ego studio in the trendy, inner city Fortitude Valley reflect both Daniel’s and their own experience by offering customer-inspired design, tailoring, and alterations.
